About VISAJA Japan
VISAJA Japan is a bilingual (English and German) reference portal on Japan. It profiles every region, prefecture and major city, the national parks, mountains and World Heritage sites, and explains Japanese culture, history, language, travel, entry rules and business.
What this portal is
A reference work, not a travel blog. Every page follows the same contract: an answer-first summary, a key-facts box with dated and sourced figures, structured sections, frequently asked questions, a numbered source list, and the dates on which the page was first published and last updated.
The geographic layer is complete by design: every place and every protected landscape has its own page and links to its neighbours, so the portal can be read like an atlas — from a region to its prefectures, from a prefecture to its cities, parks, mountains and heritage sites.
Two editions
The English and German editions cover the same pages with the same facts, but each is written for its readers rather than translated sentence by sentence. The German edition addresses German speakers worldwide, including Austria and Switzerland.
